Account Executive – Public Sector
Intelligent Automation Start-Up
£70k - £80k base + Double OTE
Hybrid London (once a fortnight in the office)
Edge Tech is proudly working on behalf of a fast-growing intelligent automation start-up that supports Public Sector clients to drive operational efficiency whilst improving customer experience.
Their award-winning library of "Pre-Built Bots" is widely regarded as the "Go To" Intelligent Automation partner to support organisations wanting to automate operations without having to change any technology systems.
Due to our client’s growth, they are looking for an experienced Account Executive to own the end-to-end sales process for the business. Having already established the sales function they have a lot of processes and procedures in place making it very easy for you to hit the ground running as soon as you join.
Collaborating closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff and junior sales staff you will play a crucial role in helping deliver their services to public sector businesses across the UK.
You will be supported by a team of two Business Development Representatives who generate leads, do a lot of outbound sales activity and book appointments for you to attend and close. Our client also works with a specialist marketing agency that handle their email marketing, social campaigns, events etc which in turn also generate opportunities for the sales team.
You’ll be tasked with identifying, progressing and closing sales by conducting in-depth research to understand client needs and pain points. You will understand client objectives and align our clients Intelligent Automation solutions to meet their specific requirements as well as acting as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to optimise their businesses.
Required Skills & Experience
- A career high achiever with a demonstrated track record of sales success
- Driven, competitive, hungry, outgoing with a passion to succeed
- 5+ years of experience as a New Logo Sales Account Executive having sold SaaS/technology solutions
- Previous experience having sold into the public sector i.e. Education, Healthcare, Government etc
- A background in identifying new business opportunities using relevant research tools / sector specific targeting, cold calling, email campaigns and social selling
- High level of professionalism and personal drive with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced dynamic start-up environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with ICs through to C-Level
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
