Who They Are

A major UK utilities organisation is building a brand new Process & Automation Centre of Excellence from scratch.

3-year funded programme. Board-level sponsorship. 300+ automation opportunities already identified. Led by an experienced Head of Automation & AI who has built similar capabilities at major UK brands.

They need Power Automate Engineers – not QA, D365, or legacy RPA-only profiles.

What You’ll Own

Solution Design, Build & Testing – 40%
Develop automations, workflows, scripts, integrations and digital solutions using Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Power Platform, and Copilot Studio. Translate mapped processes into reliable, secure automations. Build scalable solutions aligned with CoE standards, governance and architectural guardrails. Conduct unit, functional and UAT testing.

Documentation, Quality & Best Practice – 25%
Produce technical and support documentation, including solution diagrams, test scripts, runbooks and SOPs. Follow ALM and CI/CD practices. Apply secure development practices.

Collaboration with Platform, Process & Architecture Teams – 20%
Work with Platform Engineers, Process Analysts, and Architects to ensure processes are well-understood and ready for automation. Support solution quality reviews and component reuse.

Support, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement – 10%
Investigate and resolve defects, workflow failures, integration issues and performance bottlenecks. Identify reusable components and optimised delivery methods. Support live automations during hyper-care.

Innovation, AI & Emerging Technology Adoption – 5%
Explore Copilot agents, Azure AI integration, advanced connectors, and platform features. Provide feedback on technology opportunities.
